Rwanda Vineyard Newsletter (Nov 09) PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 27 November 2009

Hello Finnerty Family Supporters,

I am pleased to introduce to you the latest Finnerty newsletter in it's new updated format . If you cannot open this PDF document please contact Ron Hodder ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  ) for assistance.

We are enjoying having Patrick with us to work on the newsletter, a mere phone call or a chat over tea making the process much simpler. You can also find the newsletter as well as Patrick's blog, on the Finnerty's website at http://www.vineyardrwanda.org

Thank you for your continued prayerful and financial support for the family. If you are new to the ministry would you consider joining us in giving or for those of you who already support the Finnertys would you consider an increase?

We are currently operating at 80% of what is needed for the Finnertys and would ask your support as we seek to raise the remainder. Please contact the Halifax Vineyard Church or myself if you have any questions.

Blessings

Piano Lessons from Jonathan Baker

Hello again everyone! I have moved back to St. Stephen permanently and will be accepting a limited number of students for music lessons on piano, guitar, theory, songwriting/composition, or any instrument if somebody wishes to learn to play by ear. Beginners are welcome. I am capable of many teaching approaches (classical, contemporary/worship, and jazz) and my rate is $20/half hour. I teach all levels of piano and guitar, though advanced guitar players will learn more about the theory and improvisation/jazz end of things since my own guitar playing ability is modest but well rounded.

I will be doing lessons from home (4 Duke Street -- Will and Hannah's old house).

Some Info on Me (if I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you)

I am a University of Toronto jazz performance major (piano) and I have completed my grade 9 conservatory. I also have a teaching degree from U of T, and a ministry degree from SSU. I also have years of experience as a worship leader and band member in the Vineyard church, and play most band instruments proficiently, including drums, bass, & mandolin.

For more (slightly outdated) information, visit my website at www.protunes.org, where you can find a biography and many samples of my songwriting and composition.

Blessings, and thanks for reading!

Like to Cook? Meals for the Gathering PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 09 October 2009

Do you like to cook? We'd love to have more help making meals for the Gathering (our ministry to low income families). The involvement would be about once every 3-4 months. You could try it out for one month and see how it goes if you'd like. You'd spend 2-3 hours cooking a meal. You can submit receipts to the church to be reimbursed.

Please let Anne Gentry know if you can help. 454.8292 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
